Biography

Cary Henrie is an American contemporary artist whose career spans decades of exploration across painting, mixed media, and sculptural presentation. A graduate of the prestigious Pratt Institute in New York, Henrie developed his artistic voice during one of the most influential periods in the city's cultural history. As a young artist living and working in Manhattan, he immersed himself in the vibrant downtown art scene, crossing paths with cultural icons including Jean-Michel Basquiat, Keith Haring, and Andy Warhol, an era that left a lasting impression on his creative outlook. Henrie has exhibited extensively throughout the United States, with his work featured in notable exhibitions including ArtExpo New York, the Affordable Art Fair New York, Art Basel Miami satellite fairs, the La Quinta Arts Festival, and numerous respected galleries across the country. His work has been acquired by distinguished private collectors, business leaders, and public figures, including Whoopi Goldberg, Christy Walton, Albert Belle, and Debbi Fields, alongside numerous corporate and institutional collections.
